Came here for my friend's birthday dinner! The ambiance is super cool with a cool vibe. The food overall was really good. One of my favorite was this yogurt, red pepper, eggplant, and garlic dip so amazing a punch of flavor 8.9/10. The octopus was one of the best I've had super tender with a great char tone 9/10. Sea bass was slick and super tasty 9/10. Branzino was decent, I'm not a huge fan of fish with a few little bones 7.7/10. The shrimp dish was ok but nothing special 6.8/10. The meat dishes I wasn't a huge fan of and the lamb was a little gamy 6/10. The crispy noodle dessert I didn't think I would like, but it surprised me with sweetness and the crispy texture 8/10. The cocktail was pretty good 7.7/10 (I really don't know much about cocktails so take my rating for whatever). I'd come back for the seafood but not really for the meat dish) overall 8.1/10.

Lunch was so good that I wanted to get up and clap at the end! We tried multiple items from the prix fixe menu, and they were all amazing. Appetizers were the bread, roasted eggplant, and dumplings. The bread was so amazing that we had to order extra just to sop up the remaining juices from the other dishes. The main courses were the grilled beef patties and chicken - both with rice and a pickled salad. Of the two, we were shocked that the chicken was our favorite! And dessert was the Baklava and Kunefe - you'll have to Sophie's Choice me on my favorite. The restaurant is beautiful and spacious - fine for a casual meal or date night, and the service was spectacular from start to finish. Wow!

Finally got to try this Turkish restaurant. I heard lots of good feedback from this place from different groups of friends. We went here for my friend's birthday and she had a good time. The birthday girl picked the food for us to try (she's Turkish). I couldn't remember the names of some of them, but they are all delicious. The Borek (appetizer/side) is a solid favorite. It's a thin pastry wrap with mainly cheese filling inside. We also tried the Turkmen Mantisi, it's their version of dumplings, very flavorful. The main plate, we have kofte with a salad on side.and she also ordered the plate with ground beef wrap. For dessert, we have the profiterole and kunefe. Both will surely satisfy your sweet cravings. Kunefe tastes close to baklava. Everything is delicious. The place is beautiful. It's a nice restaurant to celebrate special occasions or treat yourself to a good meal. I should get familiarize more with the plates. Next time! The service was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Hope to come back soon.

Came for a birthday dinner, and they had a beautiful little Happy Birthday card waiting for us on our table! The vibes inside are beautiful, with low lighting and little lamps at each table. It was a packed house by 6:30pm (Tuesday) which added to the excitement, but it wasn't too loud so we could still talk in normal voices. We ordered shrimp appetizer that was super delicious (a bit tiny for 6 ppl to share, I'd say it feeds 2-4) and the hummus. The hummus came hot, which I've never seen before, but it was so delicious and they kept bread coming to our table until the main course was served. The Domates Roka salad was so fresh and delicious, it had pickled onions and a pomegranate vinaigrette that made it so bright and a perfect completo the rich hummus and bread. I had the Alinazak (tenderloin skewer) which came out cooked to *perfection*! So tender and juicy and the eggplant labne was SO FIRE as a combination. I would come back for this dish alone. Birthday girl ordered the Branzino fish which she enjoyed, it did look pretty simple though, just the grilled fish with lemon. I would definitely come here again and bring friends and family for special occasions!

Really quite good. Appetizer was some kind of yogurt/tomato/eggplant thing -- excellent. Bread excellent too. Lamb chops solid. Some nice wines. Dessert was weird (some kind of fried cheese thing) but I rolled with it. Only place I've seen Y'Quem by the glass -- fancy! Quite enjoyable, would definitely return.

We came here to celebrate our friend's birthday and were greeted with a nice HBD placecard at the table. The starters really shine here: We were in heaven with the generous basket of complimentary bread and lemon dipping oil! Don't sleep on the karidesli enginar (artichoke with poached shrimp) and the kopoglu (eggplant, peppers and yogurt), which I generously spread on that Turkish bread! The birthday girl also enjoyed the levrek marin (lemon cured sea bass). Get these and you'll be a happy camper. The octopus had an amazing smoke flavor, but I found it a bit mushy. The flatbreads are only available during lunch so of course we had to get one! We got the Lahmacun, which I've had at other Turkish restaurants and I'd say this one is pretty standard (ok). The lamb chops, ordered medium rare, were all well done except near the bone it was medium rare. So yah, the well done parts were pretty dry. We contemplated sending them back, but were so full we just took them home. The Chilean sea bass was cooked well and had good flavor, but we wouldn't jump at ordering either entrees again. Profiteroles: meh too. It was a nice gesture with the birthday baklava and candle on the house. As of this review, there's a $1-2 discrepancy per starter and $3 per entree on their printed restaurant menu versus online. I just noticed this as I'm writing the review and comparing our receipt with what's posted online. Please kindly update your online menu to current pricing. There's also a 4% living wage surcharge. It is fairly pricy here. Three of us dined here for lunch and it was well over $100/pp not including tip with each of us having one drink, two shared entrees, apps and one dessert. Service was good. Reservations on Opentable were easy to make. Street parking only. 3.5 stars rounded up.

The food and service was really good! We really enjoyed celebrating a birthday here. We got a lot of food to try and definitely did not finish them. Everything was tasty, the only things that were necessarily worth the price for us was the lamb chops and the antrikot rib eye. I was good but not worth the price it was at. The service here was also really good as we were checked up on our table was consistently cleaned, water was always filled. Our table was near a high traffic area so we were constantly getting bumped by servers who were rushing and people who were dining. This restaurant is pretty spacious too, but we were placed in a pretty bad spot. We moved our table ourselves but we still got bumped into. We didn't let it ruin our night, and our server was amazing so we just continued to sit there. This was definitely a one time experience that we enjoyed!

I rarely go to the same restaurant but I have been coming back over and over again. Meyhouse is my new favorite restaurant and I plan to be back often--outstanding food, service, and ambiance. They have live jazz in the back and I plan to get tickets to that the next time I go. Koray, the owner is a gentleman and an amazing host. I wish him and his team all the success in the world.

Came by for dinner the other night and it was a decent experience. Made a reservation and our table was ready upon arrival. Having dined at Meyhouse in Sunnyvale before, this venue was much nicer with a similar menu. Parking was available on the street and was easy to find. The menu outside the restaurant was merely a fraction of the prices that was posted on the website. The prices on the menu that was provided once we sat down were also higher than the prices posted on the website...interesting. Our waitress was super helpful in helping us find dishes for our meal. Our meal started off with complimentary bread which was tasty. The Ahtapot octopus that the waitress suggested was excellent. Flavors were on point and portion was gigantic. The Uc Borek were also tasty being lightly fried and filled with tasty fillings including meat and/or cheese. The Turkmen Mantisi were quite tasty as these were steamed dumplings filled with meat. These reminded me of the Afghan version. It was odd that these came out slightly cool... Opted for the lamb chops for the main course and requested them medium rare. The lamb chops came out medium to medium well and were quite thin. Flavoring was mediocre. Evvia has a much better version by a long shot. Opted for the profiteroles for dessert and they were tasty although I was surprised that they used cream instead of ice cream for the filling. The chocolate was a touch sweet though. The kunefe was the highlight was it was lightly fried with a flavorful cheese on the inside topped with a light syrup. ~$135/head after tax, gratuity and 4% employer mandates.
